Rosario Guillermo Agvilar

Born in 1950. Rosario graduated from the School of Plastic Arts of the National University of Mexico in 1982 where she studied ceramics under professor Gerda Gruber. Later she continued her studies at the Art Institute in Florence. Since 1982 she has participated in numerous exhibitions and symposiums in Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Yugoslavia, countries of Latino America, and the USA. Since 2005 she has been a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC). The artist has won several awards such as Prize of Arts and Medal of the Artistic Merit of Yucatan State, Mexico, First Prize of sculpture at the Biennial of Plastic Arts in Yucatan (1989, 1991). Her works are included in the collections of Czech, Danish, Hungarian, Mexican, Puero Rico art museums. She is a part time lecturer at the universities of Austria, Mexico, and the USA.

Rosario was a participant of the symposiums in 1998 and 2008.
