Catalogue of the exhibition of the artists, fellow-countrymen of Aukštaitija, having been on show at the Panevėžys Civic Art Gallery from 26-11-2008 to 14-12-2008. The exhibition presented the pieces of well known artists of previous periods, which were donated to the museums of the Panevėžys County and kept in collections of the Museum Sėla of Biržai Area, the Kupiškis Ethnographic Museum, the Panevėžys Local Lore Museum and the Centre for Studies of Juozas Miltinis Heritage at Panevėžys County Gabrielė Petkevičaitė-Bitė Public Library. These are works by Jonas Mackevičius (1872-1954), Juozas Zikaras (1881-1944), Bernardas Bučas (1903-1979), Jokūbas Dagys (1905-1989), Veronika Šleivytė (1906-1998), Povilas Puzinas (1907-1967), Petras Rauduvė (1912-1994), Juozas Kėdainis (1915-1998), Jurgis Šapkus (1928) – the outstanding figures having left the notable trace in the art history of Lithuania and our region.
