Greg Daly

Born in 1954. Greg studied ceramics at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology from 1975 to 1976. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and symposiums in Australia, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, UK, and the USA since 1976. The artist has arranged over 70 solo exhibitions. He is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC). The artist has won over 40 Australian and international awards such as the prestigious awards: International Academy of Ceramics Award in Vallauris, France (1982), Australian National Ceramic Awards (1988, 1990 and 1994). He has published a number of articles and reviews on ceramic art and also is the author of a two books on glazes. His works are included in the collections of Australian, Canadian, Czech, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swiss, Taiwanese, UK museums and galleries. Currently, he is the Chair of Cowra Art Gallery Management Committee, also lectures throughout Australia and abroad and works at his studio.
