Born in 1951 in Prague, Czech Republic. In 1975 she graduated from the Charles University in Prague (PhD: 1975). In 1977 Edita moved to Sweden. From 1977 to 1978 she studied at the Stockholm University. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and symposiums in Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Mexico, Poland, Sweden, Turkey, also has arranged solo exhibitions since 1985. She has been a member of the Swedish Sculptors´ Association, Association of Swedish Craftsmen and Ind. Designers, International Association of Art (IAA/AIAP), the Swedish Artists' Organization. The artist has won several awards such as Diploma at the XVIII International Biennial of Ceramic Art in Vallauris, France (2002), Diplomas at the Bienal Internacional del Mosaico Contemporaneo in Buenos Aires, Argentina (2003, 2005), Diploma at Ceramica Multiplex competition in Varazdin, Croatia (2005). Her works are included in the collections of Argentine, Czech, Croatian, Danish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Turkish museums. The artist was a participant of the symposiums in 1999 and 2008.
