Born in 1946. She graduated from the University of Arts and Design in Cluj-Napoca (BFA, 1969, and MFA, 1971) and from the University of Toronto (Visual Art Teaching Certificate, 1992). Since 1978 she has participated in numerous exhibitions and symposiums in Austria, Canada, China, Croatia, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Romania, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the USA. The artist has arranged a number of solo exhibitions. From 1989 to 1999 she lived and created in Canada. Arina has published a number of articles and reviews on ceramic art. Since 1977 she has been a member of the Romanian Visual Arts Union and since 2004 a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC). She has won many international awards most significant of which are Targa D‘Argento at the International Ceramic Exhibition in Faenza, Italy (1981), Prix Pierre Legaut at the National Biennial of Ceramics in Trois Rivieres, Canada (1994), Honourable mention at the Ceramica Multiplex Postmodern ceramics festival, Croatia (2013), etc. Her works are included in the collections of art museums in Canada, Japan, Romania, Taiwan, South Korea, and the USA. Since 1994 she has been delivering lectures world-wide in universities and international art centres, and also works as a studio artist. She was a participant of the symposium in 2014.
